Surrounding
Areas of Palermo
There are plenty of sights and natural wonders to see
in the vicinity of the city as well as the abundance
of treasures found in Palermo. Not far lies the city
of Agrigento, famous for its ancient Greek temples dating
back to B.C. These marvellous monuments are a UNESCO
Heritage Site which brilliantly demonstrate ancient
Greek architecture, actual mostly intact temples with
great surging columns, a most impressive site to see.
The friendly staff at our 4 star hotel in Palermo can
help you with any information and inquiries you might
have and supply you with information on getting you
around to these fantastic sites, don’t be afraid to
ask!
For those Sunny Days...
During the warmer months is the time to take advantage
of the fantastic beaches around the city. Mondello is
a local favourite only 10 kilometres outside the centre.
These sprawling white sand beaches and sparkling crystal
clear blue-green water are the perfect way to relax
and take in the splendour of the island’s natural jewels.
Cafes and restaurants abound in the small town and leave
a good opportunity to sample some of the cuisine of
the area, especially the extremely fresh seafood and
famous gelato, while you admire the beautiful views
under the warmth of the Sicilian sun.
A little further out is Cefalu, another favourite and
equally beautiful beach, great for escaping the heat
of the summer sun and enjoying the serene crystal waters
of the Mediterranean. Don’t hesitate to ask the staff
for additional information.
